Raw honey is taken from the honeycomb, screened to remove foreign substances such as leaves, dead bugs, or small pieces of wood, and then bottled. Raw honey is un-headed, leaving all of the nutrients intact. Honey in its natural form contains many amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. Most importantly, unfiltered and unheated honey contains many antioxidants and natural pollen. The antioxidants help with everything from reducing inflammation, preventing heart disease, and lowering cholesterol.
